The Hy-Ten HT Welded Coupler is for the mechanical connection of deformed steel reinforcing bars complying with BS4449 grade 500B.
The HT Coupler is suitable for connecting two bars of the same diameter where one bar can be rotated.
The HT Coupler satisfies the requirements of CARES Appendix TA1-B for couplers with reinforcing bars and is produced under an ISO9001 quality management system certified by CARES.
Hy-Ten is the exclusive UK and Ireland supplier of the HT Coupler. The friction welding of the couplers is carried out at our factory in Liverpool.
The couplers are delivered to site welded to the appropriate rebars. The formation of the joint is achieved by screwing the male and female sections of the coupler together.
The joint should be tightened using a wrench until no further movement is possible between the two sections.
